The Welfare Team serves as a compassionate support system within the church, dedicated to addressing both the collective and individual needs of the congregation. This team provides care and assistance during significant life events such as the joyous arrival of new births, baby dedications, weddings, hospital visits and bereavements.

With a heart for service, the Welfare Team ensures that every member feels loved, supported, and connected during times of celebration and challenges.

  • Organising and distributing care packages (ie. meals, light refreshments etc) for adults such as the Elderly, those experiencing post-surgery recovery or are in hospital, and new parents.
  • Visiting to the elderly, sick, or housebound members are a key aspect of the welfare team’s work. They ensure that no one feels isolated or forgotten, especially during times when church attendance may not be possible.
  • Volunteers may also visit hospitals or homes to offer prayers, share the Word of God, and show the church’s care and concern for its members.
  • Offering care and support during times of baby births, sickness, and bereavement.
  • In the event of an eventuality, The Welfare Team represents Elpis and will offer assistance to family members encountering unforeseen situations. When necessary, Elpis may provide financial support to the affected family.
