The Media and Communications Team serves as the creative and operational backbone for all media-related activities within the church. This team ensures that the church’s mission, vision, and message are effectively communicated through various channels, including print, digital, and audio-visual mediums. By leveraging technology, storytelling, and strategic design, the team enhances the church’s outreach, engagement, and representation within the congregation and the broader
community.


The team is responsible for managing all publications and broadcasts. They oversee communication strategies, ensuring consistency and excellence across platforms, and play a pivotal role in strengthening the church’s connection and brand with its members and beyond. By combining creativity, technology, and a heart for service, the media and communications team ensures the church’s message shines brightly and effectively in every medium.

Responsibilities

Publications

  • Designing and distributing bulletins, newsletters, devotionals, and other print materials. This may include working with outsourced designers, printing companies and other third party vendors.
  • Ensuring all printed content aligns with the church’s vision, mission and branding guidelines.
  • Manage public relations, press releases, and liaise with external media.
  • Be prepared to address any unexpected incidents or controversies with clarity and tact.

Broadcasts

  • Producing live-streamed and recorded sermons, worship services, and special events.
  • Managing audio and visual systems during services and events.
  • Creating podcasts or other audio-based outreach efforts.

Events and Promotions

  • Developing promotional materials for church events, including flyers, posters, social media campaigns, and email announcements. This also includes helping to advertise through word of mouth to increase attendance.
  • Supporting various in-house teams with digital and print materials or resources.

Digital and Social Media

  • Managing the church’s website, ensuring it remains up-to-date and user-friendly.
  • Creating and scheduling content for social media platforms.
  • Engaging with the congregation and online community through interactive content.

Brand Representation

  • Developing and maintaining consistent visual and written branding across all mediums.
  • Ensuring all external communication reflects the church’s vision and mission.

Team Collaboration

  • Working closely with pastors, leaders, coordinators and volunteers to deliver unified messaging.
  • Training and supporting volunteers involved in media or communication efforts.
