Children’s Ministry

‍
Volunteers must have passed a clear background check before undergoing voluntary work in the Children’s Ministry. Volunteers must display a genuine love for children and a commitment to teaching them biblical truths according to their age-related comprehension.

The two groups within the Children’s Ministry are:

• Morning Stars: Designed for children aged 4 to 7 years old, this group focuses on nurturing foundational spiritual growth in young hearts.
• Trail Blazers: Tailored for kids aged 8 to 10 years old, this group aims to develop their faith and various skills further as they grow into teenagehood.

Responsibilities

Teaching and Education

• Provide reliable, high-quality Christian education to children through songs, videos, books, interactive games, and activities.

Event Organisation

• Organise and train children for special events such as Children’s Day or any other special events in the Elpis calendar.

Membership Classes‍

• Understand and communicate the church’s doctrine, mission, vision and structure effectively.
• Be able to guide individuals through the membership process, addressing questions and concerns with clarity and wisdom.

Water Baptism:

• Have a clear understanding of the biblical significance of water baptism.
• Provide spiritual guidance according to the Bible and encourage and support individuals before and after their public baptism.

Discipleship:

• Be deeply rooted in the Word of God and experienced or be willing to disciple others in the Faith.
• Be patient and compassionate when mentoring individuals at different stages of their faith journey.

Small Groups:

• Have experience leading or are willing to lead small groups.
• Be able to foster a sense of community, encourage participation, and facilitate meaningful discussions.
