Our Culture
Elpis Ministries has been a registered charity (1068566) for over 24 years, the ministry takes great pride and cares in selecting and supporting initiatives that we believe reflect the core beliefs of our mission and the diverse cultures that we represent; namely those from the BAME community.
Elpis Ministry members donate various food and non-perishable items to food banks. We have an annual initiative, usually initiated around the Christmas season where all of the members of the ministry donate to this cause. We gather the items and select the organisation to donate the items.
Elpis Ministries provides free confidential counselling services. This service is open to all members and visitors. We recognize that we are in an era where mental health is a major issue that has been highlighted in various areas of society. We also acknowledge that the impact of COVID-19 amplified the importance of mental health. These counselling sessions are aimed to provide comfort and support. The sessions have been a success and we have gauged this by the high number of bookings and the positive feedback received from attendees.
Elpis Ministries provides free CV reviewing. This service has supported various members of Elpis Ministries. We have found that the youth have greatly benefited from this service, along with those on various forms of rehabilitation who are trying to integrate back into society. We have found this service to be very effective in directing individuals in finding suitable employment and career paths.
Elpis has an established youth programme, running from the ages of 11 upwards. The Youth programme is open to all youth members and non-members. The youth group aims to equip young people by teaching them life skills such as basic financial management, career coaching and 1 on 1 mentoring session.
We hold annual youth programmes and conferences where we encourage the youth to invite friends and family to experience what the ministry has to offer. Elpis Ministries actively focuses on young men from the BAME community in steering them away from violence and showing them a better path in life.
We have employed the use of game nights, organised football outings and mentorship programmes to keep young men encouraged and focused.

Testimonials
God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile
We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.
Always, everywhere God is present, and always He seeks to discover Himself to each one
He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.
